Beatriz is a law and policy specialist focusing on state and corporate accountability. She recently returned from the International Criminal Court where she was Johan Steyn Scholar, working in the Appeals Chamber as a judicial assistant to Judge Ibáñez Carranza.
Beatriz worked in diverse sectors abroad, from business strategy to overseas development, before returning to her native London where she directed a community development project and retrained as a lawyer. Beatriz was a Thouron and Salzburg Cutler Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to research art's role in prison divestment in the USA. Beatriz has won awards for her pro bono commitments and leadership in both the USA and UK. She is currently part of the Script Panel at London's Royal Court Theatre.
